Loading a mesh outside of res://

TwistedTwiglegTwistedTwigleg Posts: 2,561Admin

Does anyone know of a way to load files outside of the project file? I know you can use user:// but I'm trying to make a model viewer (or a upcoming project), but I cannot find a way to load files outside of res:// or user://.

According to the docs filesystem page, it is possible, as they say you can "Alternatively host file system paths can also be used, but this is not recommended for a released product as these paths are not guaranteed to work on all platforms".

Do any of you guys know how? I've been trying to figure this out for awhile now with no success.

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
