custom shader node?

I wonder if it is possible to create a custom shader node? say I want to make some things more easy, I read in the new godot 3.1 is possible to write custom shader nodes, if so, how? (I could only find info about nodes for programming like

  • and

but not one on nodes for shaders (fragment, vertext and light... and maybe geometry?)

    As for the question, I recon you are thinking of the visual shaders expression node PR which was approved and will be in godot 3.2:

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
